Cheese Gimbap
Gimbap is rice seasoned with salt and sesame oil and filled with fillings such as spinach, daikon radish, carrots, eggs, burdock, and more, then rolled in nori and cut into bite-sized pieces. Like rice balls, it's easy to eat on the go or quickly, so it's a favorite for picnics, traveling, and on the go. Depending on the type of ingredients used, it goes by various names. Tuna gimbap, kimchi gimbap, beef gimbap, cheese gimbap, squid gimbap, and so on. It also depends on your preference, but the most common ingredients are daikon radish, ham, and zidane, and you can add either beef or fish cake. Some people prefer to use fish cake instead. Add some vegetables such as carrots, burdock, cucumber, etc. and you have the most basic kimbap. Other ingredients include kimchi, spinach, leeks, bulgogi, sesame leaves, tuna, flying fish roe, mayonnaise, ketchup, cheese, sweet potatoes, anchovies, delicacy vegetables, tofu, cabbage or other vegetable salad, peppers, and sausage. Unusually, there are also chungmu kimbap, which is just plain rice with no ingredients inside, and is often served with kimchi or squid pickles. In fact, as long as there is rice, you can add anything that goes well with rice.
